The course was fair to tough going especially through the woods with its off cambers and exposed slippery roots with many riders falling on their arse as they dismounted because of them. Much of the wooded area had to be re-routed to allow the riders to flow through and prevent any bottle necks. The remainder of the track consisted of hard and dusty ground leaving very little chance of a rest. The weather was dry and sunny with an occasional isolated shower. There were 101 finishers and the event ran smoothly, the only exception being that a few riders still turned up with their dogs at this event, it is stated in the regs 'no dogs allowed' ( unless they bring thier motorcycles with them or they can wear a bib and help marshall).
