Peter Cooks up at Blewbury !

Overall winner and top points scorer Peter Cook ( E Class )on 11 laps and with the fastest lap of the day, he delivered a fine win at Blewbury Berkshire, riding his KTM 200, he mastered the steep climbs and descents and the uneven terrain, he did tell me after his ride he was well pumped up I think he was talking about his arms though ??

A Class ( otherwise known as the flintstone class) winner was John Wraight SP400 riding his rigid thumper he completed 8 laps. Second was Mike Larkin XT 250 which seemed to hold together for him this year and he managed 7 laps. Third place on 6 laps went to Inigo Kidd also on an XT 250 string, wire and all.

Matthew Bardsley had a much closer battle for first place with 8 laps riding his KTM 200 he was the hare in his class being chased home by two hounds Chris Liddington KTM 200 second and Andrew Chadwick Honda CRM 250 third also on 8 laps also.

C Class winner Roger Scott romped home on his KTM 200 with 10 laps to his credit, Paul Hoad second with 8 laps on a Suzuki DRZ400 and Phil Thody third KTM 200 also on 8 laps.

D Class:- Riding his KTM 125 and completing 11 laps Ben Ilott won his first TBEC meeting, aged 17, he rode with determination and managed to win by 1 point from Glen Howard in second place, riding KTM 200 and completing 10 laps. Glen could be seen pacing up and down at the transponders fretting and looking at the clock wondering if Ben would make it home in time. Andy Childs came home a close third also on 10 laps on his KTM 200.

Peter Cook with arm pump and all won E Class on his KTM 200 on 11 laps. Eddie Tait riding a Sherco 450 was second on 10 laps (what is a Sherco Eddie?) Nick Bowman third also on 10 laps riding a KTM 400.

The Veteran Class (for the senior ride rs) winner once again was Brian 'the wind' Barratt who completed 10 laps on his KTM 125. Second place honours went to Maurice Smith on a Gas Gas 200 on 8 laps and Michael Hooley third also with 8 laps on his Husaberg 400.

Weather was mild and dry with perfect riding conditions although the undulating land made handling tricky. The steep climbs and descents on the motocross course were for the brave who attacked them aggressively providing the many spectators with plenty of action With fallen trees in the woods made difficult riding and many fell on their arse attacking them. Phil Richardson (464) decided to head-but the wire fence beside the wood near the camping area myself (Nick) and another rider managed to pull him free after his head had been stuck between the wire fence he managed to stay on his bike throughout the whole ordeal though. After we had pulled him out his explination for the incident was that his glasses had steamed up and he could not see the direction of the course. Phil I recommend enduro flow goggles in future they are a must ( I have two pairs) The day contrasted in a few minor incidents but overall we had well organised event.

See you all at Buildwas.
